Happy New Year!
Hope you all had a nice Christmas & New Year break.
So... the world didn't end after all then, I guess all the 2013 weddings are still on! Wahoo!
I had a really enjoyable Christmas with my new fiancee. 2012 was definitely the best year so far & 2013 has a LOT to live up to!
I've had quite a few more bookings for this coming year & I spent the break catching up on a lot of work instead of actually relaxing with my feet up as I should have been doing lol.
Finished the photos of David & Fadzai which were taken at Botanic Gardens in Belfast. The orange leaves really added an extra something to the photos & the kids certainly enjoyed throwing them about even if the frozen bride maybe didn't appreciate it quite as much & just wanted to get back in the car because it was freezing! It was also enjoyable (& very unique!) watching the Bride & Groom dancing down the aisle after the ceremony. Starts to make other weddings seem almost boring... Take note future brides! Haha.
Many thanks & best of luck to David & Fadzai for their future together.
I also managed to finish up the photos of Emma & Darren's wedding at Lough Eske Castle in County Donegal, plus design their story book album and I can't wait for the happy couple to see it for themselves.
The day itself involved about 6 hours of driving & not getting home until about 1.30am on very icy roads! Gulp! Well worth it for such an amazing venue & someone even arranged a nice rainbow to appear beside the castle in the afternoon (photos on the way) which made up for the deluge of rain that arrived as soon as I parked my car and got out . D'oh!
Luckily Emma & Darren arranged a beautiful meal for everyone & even some goodies on the table to take home so I was happy & very well fed.
It was a very long day but worth every second of it & I'm very glad that the whole day went off without a hitch!
Thank you and good luck to Emma & Darren... your album is on the way!
That's all folks!
