So its meant to be Spring, the clocks go forward tonight and we are all set for a well deserved bit of sunshine and warmth! That is the theory anyway but there might be a few more opportunities to use those new gloves Santa brought you if what I hear is correct!
Anyway... Since the new year I have adjusted & expanded the Photography price lists, designed & received new story-book album designs, sent out contracts to future bride & grooms, had quite a few consultations and caught up with a mountain of paper work. Busy, busy, busy and I love every minute of it.
The wedding of Niamh & Gavin took place a few weeks ago at St.Colmcille's in Belfast followed by Clandeboye Lodge in Bangor. On this occasion I was armed with a few new gadgets to play with and it all turned out pretty well.
The guests arrived with their umbrellas in-hand and after the ceremony they left holding the same umbrellas... because the rain didn't stop and unfortunately there wasn't a sign of that mysterious orange globe in the sky.
Up and over Craigantlet the snow started and lasted until the early hours of the next morning but it made for a beautiful setting for photos. Dinner was being served but half of the guests were more interested in taking snow photos out of the windows lol.
Niamh & Gavin chose to use all the old tickets from previous gigs / events they had been to together as the table names... a very unique and funky idea (I might just steal it!) Ranging from Peter Kay to Metallica there was a bit of everything in there. Guests even got little bags of Haribo to enjoy whilst listening to 80's tribute act 'Pleasuredome' or sitting in the photo booth with silly wigs & hats galore.
All went well apart from the rain but I don't think you could organise snow in March if you tried so well done to them for that one! I also don't think I've ever seen a Groom look so calm both before, during and after the ceremony so well done Gavin!
I have quite a few bookings sorted for this year, especially over Summer so there will be plenty of photos and updates as the months progress. In the mean-time... I have lots of editing to finish!
Congratulations Niamh & Gavin, I'll be in touch soon.
